First I think I should explain to you what a conspiracy theory is. It is a theory that goes against gouvernment norm, for example if i were to say that ducks fly south in the winter and the Bush gouvernment tells me that that they swinm south no matter how much proof i have that they actually fly my theory is still a conspiracy.

These are the tactics people like to use to get rid of conspiracy thepries

1.Get someone to take that blame, pay them of course. This worked for the crop circles, people say aliens did it so the gouvernment pays a guy to admit he did it *poof* no more alien talk. Could this have also worked with 911?

2.Make it fit with national pride, for the moon landing America wanted to believe they got there first and so they did. This is also applicable to 911

Now for some evidence that it was the gouvernment of U.S.A that actually used the planes, by remote controll to destroy the towers.

1. Flight 77's strange loop: It departed from its flight plan and performed a 3-sided calibrating maneuvre before it was "hijacked".

2. The alleged "hijackers": They purchased tickets, but none of their names appear on the passenger manifests. No evidence links them to 911. Seven turned up after the attacks alive and well. Others were trained and even lived and listed their addresses on US military bases.

3. The WTC steel: When examined under the microscope, metallurgists were "shocked" to find it had undergone a bizarre transformation: it was full of holes, described by the scientists as like "Swiss cheese".

4. The Collapse of the Towers: The seismic traces from NY which show unexplained massively energetic events co-incident with onset of collapse of the towers. The pools of molten steel 70 feet below street level. The unexplained collapse of WTC7.

5. Breakfast Buffet 1: Worlds second richest man, Warren Buffet, held a breakfast meeting at 8am on 911 for CEO's at Offutt Airforce Base, Nebraska.

6. Breakfast Buffet 2: Pakistans Chief Spy and alleged money-man behind 911 was meeting with Congressional Intelligence committee members when the planes hit.

7. Layers upon layers: The US Government had a drill scheduled for September 11, 2001, involving a plane crashing into a federal building..

8. Who Benefits?: Bioport, sole licensed manufacturer of Anthrax vaccine, is part owned by Bush and Bin Laden families.

9. Slip of the tongue: The FEMA spokesman who blurted out on live TV that they had arrived in NYC on the Monday evening to be ready for 911.

10. Bush's strange behaviour on 911: He kept reading with the children after he heard the news. The Secret Service did not intervene, proving they knew he was in no danger. Watch the video here.

11. The cell phone calls. Hello mother, this is Mark Bingham. The cell phone calls were staged.

12. NORAD slept in. Air-defenses over the world's most closely guarded air-space was curiously inactive on September 11, 2001. Or were they just pretending to be asleep.

13. Real X-Files: The TV series, broadcast in April 2001, whose pilot episode featured a Government plot to fake a terrorist attack by crashing a commercial airliner into the World Trade Centre by remote control. Watch the trailer here.

14. Irony in the USA: The United Nations had planned World Peace Day for September 11, 2001. This fact has gone virtually unreported. "Today’s meeting, which was planned for yesterday, 11 September, had been postponed because of the situation in the host country. At its opening, the International Day of Peace was observed, as well as a minute of silent prayer or meditation to commemorate the event."

15. Osama took the blame. A classic strategy is to make or pay someone to take the blame because this defeats many conspiracy theories.

Great theory. Right up there with the fact that little green men on the moon are manipulating events on earth with telepathy.

Wait a minute while I go back and read your "theory" again...

Yep, I say it's green men.

Of necessity, there is an element of faith to Christianity. Same with kupov's comments. The validity of my Faith is not tied to a burning bush, but to the changed life and quality of life experience I find through my ongoing relationship with a personal God.

Prove your god exists anywhere but in your imagination, and then we'll have something to discuss. Since you claim to have a personal relationship with this being, presenting proof should be no problem.

And while you're at it, explain what makes your god different from the 4000+ gods mankind has worshipped throughout history. Why is belief in Quetzalcoatl irrational while belief in your invisible sky pixie a praiseworthy ideal?

No, I read the post. The trouble with conspiracy theories is not their plausibility, it's in the proof. Yet a conspiracy implies a covering-up of the truth, explaining the lack of proof but... Without evidence, the conspiracy explanation is just one of any number of possibilities.

Beyond that, I'm all for open discussion as a means for leading to answers to "what happened" and "why."

"The Leap of Faith And The Limits of Reason" by Soren Kierkegaard would be a great read for someone with your challenges, your demand that everything be "provable" with the 5 senses. I wonder if you are better at angy exchange than open search for truth?

My experience of Truth, concerning Jesus Christ, comes after the "leap of faith", which I first took 32 years ago. My life was truly transformed. And, there is a Presence within (I understand it to God within, a constant fellowship of love and strength). Often when I pray, unusual thingds happen which I ascribe to the power of God. And love- as I truly seek His guidance, I am enabled to love others as I could not without His power. Etc.
All of this, and much more, is very personal. You can rationalize and explain away if you insist. I know it is real.

I dare you to explore this leap of faith.

Now, insult me, or share an intelligent exchange of ideas. Your choice.

I ask you for proof, and the best you can do is accuse me of being angry and tell me to go read someone else's book? I'm not angry at all - just completely unconvinced by your arguments. When it's convenient, you claim to have a personal relationship; when put on the spot, you claim that knowledge of your deity lies beyond the sensory realm.

Your god mustn't be all that powerful, or else it could just reveal itself to me personally and prove me wrong. That's not anger, that's just a fact. You have faith that this being exists and you cannot understand how another person could not share this faith. As much as you want others to grant your god existence, it appalls you when someone scoffs - mostly because you lack a suitable response to "that's very nice, now prove it." You can believe with every molecule in your body that your prayers are answered, but you can't prove it or else you'd be trumpeting it right now.

Don't be surprised that, outside your group of fellow believers, your claims are called into question and proof is expected.

Good and challenging response. I sense the anger from the intentionally inflamatory rhetoric, a deliberate intent to provoke and anger. I shouldn't fall for it, but I just take it personally when my God whom I love is insulted. It's akin to your insulting my wife and children. I can cerebrally debate most any subject, but my faith is so very personal. I'm working on this issue, for indeed, a non-believer has the right to call my convictions into question. Such a person even has the right to say whatever they like about my God. Of course, they don't have the right to demand that I listen or respect their words..

A few responses to your statements:

"..you claim that knowledge of your deity lies beyond the sensory realm"

Absolutely. Suggestions for His presense and purpose are all around, but they require faith for understanding. Why are you so against this concept? You will never find God strictly with your 5 senses.

"Your god mustn't be all that powerful, or else it could just reveal itself to me personally and prove me wrong."

It's a question of who is in charge and who makes the rules

"...you cannot understand how another person could not share this faith."

Not so. I understand that it goes against the very grain of self-sufficiency to accept the lordship of an unseen God, to believe without sight.

Good post, Kup, I’m sorry it took me so long to get around to commenting.

…I disagree, I really see no evidence that the government has been trying to cover up an internal screw up. The most I've got is that we spend a ton of money "hunting" someone that didn't even deserve to be hunted. I highly doubt that the leaders of our country would put American's through that much of a stress just to avoid making themselves look bad, or like they didn't know what they were doing.

Don't get me wrong, in my opinion... every single person under Bush's control should be wiped out and we should start fresh with people who haven’t been dealing with him, and listening to his Republican “kill ‘em all for eventual peace” crap - for the past 4 years. But, I also think they wouldn't go through so much trouble just to cover something like that up, because common sense SHOULD tell you that something as big as a terrorist attack on America cannot be covered up. SOMEONE will open their mouth, and expose the lies for either money or power.

What exactly is your opinion on this, Kup? Do you think that the entire thing was staged? For what? Why would we create this huge pile of trouble for ourselves for absolutely no reason?

Anything is possible. That being said, who's to say the US government is not capable of this act...they claim they are all-powerful. Maybe it's true, maybe it's not, or maybe the truth can be found somewhere in the middle. Either way, it's horrid and the people of the US and the world will probably never know for sure. Everyone anywhere is entitled to their views and I think your quite brave to post yours :) By the way, I don't totally disagree but then again, I'm not an American.
