People pray to be healed from illnesses BUT: • Noone ever has the idea, that SATAN causes the illness and SATAN takes it away. SO in fact a healing means you prayed to Satan. • Noone ever has the idea, that GOD causes the illness (to test you) and you stop the illness by praying to Satan. Kind of strange,consider several pieces of scripture in the bible point to the fact thay Satan and God should actually be reversed, mainly I reffer to Adam and Eve.

I think that good and evil (God vs. Satan invoked here) are within one's heart. We can talk about the struggles in one's heart (the very real struggle between good and evil) and we can talk about icons of good and evil.
One does not preclude another in the form of debate. But the imagery of "God" and "Satan" dilutes effective dialogue when the human heart and soul are sidelined in the debate.

Oh a metaphorical battle? but if God is truly evil as gnostocsm suggests and Satan is the true moral one humans simply fighting good and supporting evil even IF neither exist.

God has his bad moments...it could be argued that Satan has his virtues. And what of his virtues? And what of his hell? Satan so loved God that he could not stand being anything or any other being closer to God...thus cast "out". And isn't evil therefore born out of a love for God? A hapless, jilted, vindictive "lover" of God as the image of evil??
There is always hope...even for Satan.

Hey Kupov,
If satan caused the illness, and God is omnipotent, then one can pray to God to overrule satan and take the illness away right. If God caused the illness, we pray for forgiveness and when God thinks the 'work' or whatever is done he accepts your repentance and cures you. Why should it be satan?
Of course, I don't believe in both..
PS. Cool header, Vitruvian Man. Reminds me more of chocolate though, YUM. Why make the background blue and then put brown on it? Eye-catching effect?

Becasue knn had a theory I thought deserved mention but I tweaked it a little and why not Satan evidence from the bible shows that Satan may be more moral then God, check out gnosticism.

Answering what you said, no prayer is not complaining about what God did wrong. He is perfect therefore it was not Him but us who have caused all the problems.I will be praying that you ccome to know God in a personal and real way. It is truly the most amazing thing. He can heal the wounds of your heart. Let Him take over, please He can fill the empty longing we all have had.

I mean, if you are against people praying to be healed I'd said something like visit a doctor (j/k) but I dont think that assertion would be a strong argument. It seems more like "believer versus another kind of believer" and since Im an atheist, I prefer other type of arguments against searching the bible (a big methafor itself) for answers to reality.
On the other hand, that statement seems to be a fallacy.
Anyway, great blog, I'll visit it from time to time.

WHAT???? let me try and understand what you're saying......you believe that satan is in fact the one that not only causes the illness...but has the power to take the illness away when he's prayed to??? is that correct? interesting.......very interesting.....but i hardly agree with you....where is the scripture to back that up? you said at the end of your post that there were some. would you mind posting that for me?? (i'm not being rude here...i would really like to see where you are coming from) until you back a comment like that up....i cannot consider it.
